Empowering our local community to look after our streets and the environment
Our volunteers help look after Caulfield and Caulfield South by reducing litter on local streets and stopping it from getting into Port Phillip bay.
In the next 30 years, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish–the challenges faced by our environment and future can sometimes feel overwhelming, and we can feel powerless to do anything about them.
We started Love Our Street 3162 (LOS 3162) to empower and engage our local community to take simple action and protect the bay and our local areas. We host one hour organised street clean up events every month (or so) for members and prevent waste like coffee cups, cigarette butts and plastic containers polluting our beaches and killing marine life.
Everyone is welcome (not just local residents) including children (under 15 must be accompanied by an adult). One spare hour is all it takes to do something good for the planet (and the soul!).
There are no meetings, just good clean fun with like-minded people who love and care about where we live. Our vision is that groups like ours, where we rely on people picking up other people’s litter, don’t exist.
Follow us on social media. We look forward to seeing you!
