“The group collected a total of 34 kilograms of litter from nearby streets, including 20 glass bottles, 40 plastic bottles, 70 cans and an incredible 71 non-recyclable coffee cups,” Brad Rowswell MP (Member for Sandringham) told the Legislative Assembly in a Member’s Statement.

The 20 volunteers who took part included a group of students from Firbank Grammar School.

“I am grateful to volunteer organisations such as this for the wonderful spirit that they bring to our community and the work they do in our community,” Mr Rowswell said.
