Tootgarook foreshore is a beautiful beach environment that houses many species of native flora and fauna vital for the ecosystem to survive. Being such a beautiful beach, it is frequently visited and more often than not, people do not take their rubbish home with them leaving countless harmful objects in this natural place. On any one visit it is likely you will see cigarette butts, alcohol containers, plastic bags and an assortment of lightweight litter.

If the rubbish is left there without being disposed of correctly then it poses risk to the native species that dwell in this area along with the sealife which is why it is important that attention be paid to this site as it will provide benefits to not only the wildlife but also beach goers who so frequently utilise the site. If you wish to participate our cleans are to be run every 4th Sunday of the month.     Just one hour can make a difference.
