Partial Audit 536 Elwood Village and surrounds, JGS🐧 What a beautiful morning to be out with a terrific group of volunteers, making Elwood Village and nearby streets litter-free! Thank you all. Altogether, 12 volunteers removed 12 kg of rubbish: now it won't go down the drains to pollute our lovely beach and bay. 🙏🙂🐬🐟🐧💙🙏 Much of the litter was single-use plastic - highly toxic, persistent pollutants. Key items: 35 drink bottles and cans, 12 plastic bottle tops, 22 single-use coffee cups and lids, 13 other cups and lids, 436 cigarette butts (Yes, these contain plastic). Please encourage alternatives to single use.
