| Partial Audit | 1733 | Balaclava Station and surrounds, JGS🐧 | Although still holiday season, fifteen volunteers turned out to remove litter from Balaclava streets, lanes and around carparks. It was a pleasure to welcome a new volunteer and to have J join us once more whilst in Melbourne from London. Overall, our collection weighed 19 kg: mainly hundreds and hundreds of lightweight plastic items and fragments. All safely binned, prevented from polluting our Bay and harming wildlife. Thank you everyone. 🙏🐧💙🐬💚👍 Key items: 45 drink bottles and cans, 33 plastic bottle tops, 42 sauce sachets and fish, 35 coffee cups and lids, 18 plastic spoons (banned three years ago), 1525 cigarette butts (Yes, they contain plastic!) and 4 syringes. Also, a toy truck, dumped clothing, a glowstick, a vape and two batteries. | ||||
