LOS 3185 Ripponlea

Love Our Street 3185 Ripponlea, City of Port Phillip

Ripponlea Village and neighbourhood: a lovely location to live, work and shop. The on-going tide of litter though causes considerable concern to locals in the area

Love Our Street brings together members of the community who care about their patch and the wider environment.

An hour of action, once a month cleans up the streets, prevents litter entering storm water drains and thus protects Port Phillip Bay’s marine environment and beaches and sends a message that we don’t want our community trashed.

Come along and join like-minded people in taking community action against litter. Stay for a catch up in a local café.

LOS 3183 & 3185 Ripponlea 7 Oct 2018 by 3185@loveourstreet.com.au

Gorgeous morning. Our group collected 4 kg of litter in an hour from streets near William St Reserve - 1200 cigarette butts, 19 drink containers that could be returned if only Vic government had one.

Well done crew - our suburb is cleaner, our bay creatures are spared this rubbish and the gardens planted with the help of local volunteers won't be spoilt by litter.

Love Our Street 3185 & 3183 Ripponlea - July 2017 by 3184-1@loveourstreet.com.au

Seven volunteers were able to join in on a freezing winter's day to tackle new litter since last month in Ripponlea. Their efforts not only made this area cleaner, but prevented this litter entering the storm water system and Port Phillip Bay.
