The bright blue tee shirts of the volunteers make for a colourful addition to the beaches once a month on Saturday mornings.   See BeachPatrol 3207 in action to save the local community here!

With the windy and somewhat rough weather the last two weeks, a lot of plastic fragments had washed up on to the beach.

Small pieces of plastic about 1-2 cm long were all over.  Plus some other items that made attention;

8 syringes some with needles

A medical boot for ankle injuries was dug out of the sand

Plastic bottles that had rolled up the beach with the onshore winds pushing them along.

A light southerly wind off the water made for a coolish beach clean today.  The beach was quite clean with only small plastic fragments and cigarette butts along water lines to pick up.  With the exception of one volunteer under a pier collecting 2 large sackful's of littered bottles and rubbish.

Like the Trolls under the Bridge, 3207 is there by admin

The weather gods smiled on us and “parted the waters” (rain) for a fine and mild time as over 30 beach patrollers hit the First Point Beach.

The rubbish under the Princes Pier was heavy.   Eva had to wear her gummies.
