Bottles abound in the rocks for 3207 by admin

Sandridge Beach was relatively clean this month with mostly plastic bits caught in the trees and shrubs at the top of the beach.  However a lot of bottles were pulled out of the rock groins with some off the beach it self.  27 volunteers came out on a sunny morning to spend an hour.

71 bottles and cans were collected with another 35 the next day making 106 bottles and cans littered.

3207 cleans on a beautiful spring day by admin

A 27 deg day awaited Port Melbourne beach cleans this month.  A beautiful day, blue sky, calm water and quite a clean beach.  The recent higher winds had made some extra high tides that left their litter up in the beach grass area.

Today was the first launch of the new Beachpatrol litter collection bags.   They were a big hit with the volunteers.

30 people turned out with most staying on to go to the platform café after wards.

 4 syringes were found

62 bottles picked up.
