3205 February Beach Clean by 3205@beachpatrol.com.au

26 wonderful human beings and #Lucythewonderdoodle joined us for our monthly 3205 Beach Patrol this morning.

Heaps of plastic - straws, soy sauce tops, Chupa Chup sticks, tiny bits - were removed from the beach, and stayed out of the tummies of our local wildlife.

We focused on nurdles - plastic resin pellets that are used to make plastic products - and found lots, even though there's no plastic production nearby! Boo! Industry: clean up your act!

Special thanks to those who came from far away to support our local beaches! Brunswick, Brighton, and even to tourists from Portland Oregon in America!

3205 Beach Patrol January beach clean by 3205@beachpatrol.com.au

Thanks to the volunteers who came out to the 3205 Beach Patrol on Saturday morning! 23 terrific humans and #LucyTheWonderdoodle joined us for cleanup on South Melbourne Beach. It was a pleasant and very productive day.

Great work guys!

Special thanks to nine backpackers from YHA - what a great contribution! The St Kilda Ecocentre is running a programme with YHA Metro and YHA Central in the CBD to publicise local events. It's a great idea and it paid off!

Our next clean will be  on Saturday 16 February.

See you soon!

Love, 3205 Beach Patrol
