3196 Beachpatrol Chelsea Beaches

3196 Beach Patrol - Chelsea

Chelsea beach is part of the ‘long beach’ that stretches from Mentone right down to Frankston. It attracts many visitors all year round who fail to be unimpressed by the stunning beach, whether in gorgeous sunshine or harsh rain.

While areas of the beach are groomed by machine, lots of litter remains. Some items of rubbish that have been found include used needles, car parts, rusty bottle lids as well as lots of component plastic parts. Our aim is to make the beach as safe as we can for all members of the public to enjoy without the threat of standing on hazardous waste. We also aim to reduce the impact of human activity on the natural flora and fauna of the Chelsea foreshore and Port Philip Bay.
