On a chilly but sunny morning 28 dedicated volunteers turned up to clean our Port Melbourne beach and then on to the dog beach.  The beach was relatively clean except fo rthe high tide line and a walk way littered by bottles and cans.

THANK YOU to a small group of 3191ers who collected 15.25 kg of rubbish from Sandringham beach, directly below the Red Bluff Cliffs.   A seemingly endless amount of small plastic pieces, bottle lids, straws, wrappers and lollipop sticks is knotted together with other debris.  There is much more still there, so please get down this week, if you have some spare time.

Last Saturday Elwood Beach Patrol had the whole beach covered with 24 volunteers!  Our dedicated team collected over 30 kg of litter.  Thanks to all and welcome to our new members.  See you on 27 June for our next clean up.

We had 8 volunteers for the May Beach Patrol and collected 24.2 kgs of rubbish.

There was heaps of polystyrene foam at one end of the beach (so many tiny pieces) as well as a large collection of cigarettte butts.

Parkdale May '15 Clean up

On a beautiful sunny Sunday we had 18 people turn out today with a strong showing from our younger beach patrollers. We collected 19.4kg of rubbish with our most unique find a corroded old school flip phone.

3191 April Clean
Our (cold and wet) Anzac weekend clean produced 16kg of rubbish from the southern end of Sandringham beach.  Most common items were cigarette butts, straws and small plastic pieces. One syringe.  Thanks to everyone who came despite the bad weather.

BP 3193 Ricketts Point - May 2015 clean
Under grey but fine conditions May's collection included many bottles & aluminium cans, cigarette butts, plastic straws, sweet wrappers, car park tickets, broken polystyrene foam, etc.
