A bit cool but fine for our six volunteers today. Our sea creatures are so grateful. See the not-so-crabby crab - photo courtesy of Sheree Marris's gallery from Melbourne Down Under.
We collected 5.4 kg of litter - small by weight, but significant if we consider the many small fragments we prevented entering Port Phillip Bay. This included 545 cigarette butts (almost 300 from the grass beside Seven-Eleven), 10 drink containers (bottles & cans) and lots of small plastic fragments.
It was a pleasure to welcome Sharron from the Port Phillip Ecocentre who came along to promote the Living Waters project. Similarly, we welcomed Deborah who is considering taking action in Ripponlea.
