A quiet day for the LOS Hoppers Crossing crew with 2 volunteers attending and picking up 4kg of rubbish. By far the most common items of rubbihs in this area were cigarette butts and bottle caps.

Thanks to the 11 volunteers who picked up over 25kg of rubbish and rescued two trolleys from the creek.  It was a great location to chat with locals and get them inspired to pick up rubbish as well.  Except for the trolleys it was mostly little stuff.

LOS 3029 Old Geelong Road Clean Up - July 2019

The Federation Trail along Old Geelong Road is a constant trap for litter, as are the many buildings that back onto it. This will be one of the regular spots that LOS 3029 will visit. On Sunday morning our 6 wonderful volunteers picked up 31 bags of rubbish weighing 45.65kg in total, including a tire and scrap metal.

LOS 3029 The Grange Reserve Clean Up - June 2019

On Sunday morning 22 volunteers turned up and picked up 41.6kg of rubbish, which included 118 bottles and 70 cigarette butts. With a school, three sports fields and a playground all within close proximity, there is still a lot of litter to pick up in this area. LOS 3029 will make this site one of our regular locations to clean up.

11 volunteers cleaned up behind the Hogans Corner Shopping Centre. 99 kg of litter was collected including 7 shopping trolleys that were returned to the supermarket, 5 crates that were recycled and an old rug.  Most of the rest of the litter was quite small.

Our first clean up had 21 volunteers pick 130 kg of litter including 95 bottles and 59 cans, an old bed and scrap metal.  It was great to see the keeness of volunteers helping clean up an area that still needs a lot of work.  Great effort on everyones part.
