We had over 50 volunteers comeout today to clean up plastic litter around the beach by the Tase Ferry.  Over 300 bottels and cans were collected.  34 BP bags of rubbish.

Spring Clean the city was performed again on Sept 21 by 268 volunteers.  They cleaned the CDB of littered single use plastic.

The litter was audited for 4 groups of items

1) Drink COntainer that would be covered by a CDS.  2218    In 2018 it was  2680

3207 BeachPatrol September Clean

A chilly windy morning greeted 23 volunteers on Saturday.   In addition we had another 20 people from Malaysia join us for the beach clean.  They were  from a niversity there.   The Local Federal MP Josh Burns joined us too to meet the group.

Clean up with Ocean Crusaders on Moonee Ponds Creek

Ocean Crusaders organsied another one of their Paddle agaisnt Plastic events on Sunday 1st Sept.  BeachPatrol adn Love Our Street volunteers did the auditing of the rubbish for drink containers.

LOS Port Melbourne August Clean

12 Volunteers came out to clean around central Port Melbourne on Sat.

3207 BeachPatrol for August 19

oday 40 volunteers joined us for a clean of Sandridge beach.    4 International youth students joined in as well.    They took on the stretch of the path where the fishermen go and it is always a mess of their left rubbish. 20 bags or rubbish were collected plus 93 bottles and cans.

LOS 3207 in Port Melbourne

20 volunteers came out to clean the industrial streets around Bunnings this month.  As expected they are a mess.  Unlike  a neighbourhood with homes and some pride the industrial areas are only used by workers, so their attention to littering or clearning up is very low it seems.

28 bags of rubbish of which 7 were littered drink containers.   Why doesn't Vic have a CDS?  Which organisation is pulling the government strings?

3207LOS Corporate Clean

3207LOS took Nestle Port Melbourne Staff out on a street clean around the local area.   They had 44 staff partcipating which seperated up into 8 teams.  .    We cleaned for just on two hours as some of the areas took a while to walk to. Most groups were not able to clean the whole designated areas as their bags were to full of rubbish and they could not carry any more.  An awful amount of litter was removed.   Over 1/3rd of the volume was littered drink bottles and cans.

3207 LOS June Clean

33 volunteers came out to clean around town hall on Bay St.   125 bottles and cans, 4 syringes, 39 coffee cups and 21 bags or rubbish.
