Our final clean for the year and 2nd Birthday(!) netted a whopping 37.8 kgs with just 10 volunteers, around the streets where it all started in Caulfield South. 76 CDS recyclables making 9.2kgs, 19.6kgs of landfill, including 1950 butts, and 9 kgs of hard waste. Thanks to everyone who came and collected, including local MP David Southwick. Happy and sustainable Hanukkan, Christmas, festive season and holidays to everyone. See you on Feb 1 for our first clean of 2020.

	LOS 3162 Clean-up 9 November 2019

A 66.8 kg haul from Caulfield Racecourse and railway station smashed our 1 tonne milestone! 21.8 kgs of Recyclables (including 221 CDS containers and 21 coffee cups & Slurpee containers); 41.2 kgs of Landfill (including 3450 cigarette butts); and 3.8 kgs of Hard Waste, including 4 discarded handbags. The highlight was painted horse skull! Thanks to Glen Eira Mayor Cr. Jamie Hyams for coming down, and everyone else who collected, weighed and counted.

  • A great troupe of 20 Love Our Streeters collected 48.4 kgs of garbage and recyclables off GlenHuntly Shopping Strip, including 45 recyclables, 10 coffee cups, and 3,000 cigarette butts.

LOS 3162 Clean-up 7 September 2019

An express 30 minute clean-up focussing on a litter 'hot-spot', along Sir John Monash Drive, next to Caulfield Station. 17 hardy volunteers collected a whopping 78.5 kgs, including 122 CDS recyclables, 10 7-11 coffee cups, 200 cigarette butts, 25 kgs of landfill waste, and 40kgs of dumped rubbish / hard waste. Thanks to David Southwick MP for coming down, recording our data and taking our photos, and thanks to everyone who came along.

LOS 3162 Clean-up 10 August 019

Joined by members of the Elwood Plogging Group, 11 of us braved a very Wintery morning to clean up Caulfield South shopping strip and surrounds. Together we picked up 13.1 kgs of landfill, 10.2 kgs of recycling, and 7.2 kgs of hard waste, and stopped this going down drains to the Bay. Also notable was a large dumped rubbish spot, which was reported to the Council via Snap Send Solve. Great job everyone!

A wet July morning but 22 faces showed to clean the streets and gutters near Hopetoun Gardens, Elsternwick, preventing 21.7 kgs of stuff entering our Bay. Merci beaucoup to everyone who came out, especially new young faces, and those who donned berets for our Bastille Day French theme. Vive la Revolution de "Clean-Up"!

The Force was strong with 30 Rebel Alliance fighters collecting 69.5kgs, on Star Wars Day at Booran Reserve GlenHuntly, including 29.9kgs of landfill, 9.9 kgs of recyclables, 800 butts, 67 CDS containers, 11 coffee cups and a Death Star of 28kg sof hard waste. Truly Jedi-worthy, these troopers are!

Our crack squad of LoveOurStreeters cleaned the side of the railway line along Normanby Road, Caulfield North, collecting 63.3 kilograms of material, including 17.5 kgs of landfill, 14.7kgs of  recyclables, and 31.1kgs of hard waste.
