Many thanks again to all that joined us yesterday for our September beach clean!
For what started as a wet morning, the sun came out just in time for our beach clean and it was warm - Spring is on it's way! Absolutely great to see 27 of our volunteers on the beach at Beaumaris Yacht Club. It was great to welcome a good number of new members too!
Thanks to everyone for their efforts this month, many getting in and amongst the coastal vegetation! Overall, 12 full bags of litter were collected, roughly 39Kg in weight.
The most common items of litter were cigarette butts, small plastic fragments and polystyrene balls. There were quite a few dog poo bags found, plastic straws but only a small number of plastic/glass bottles.
