The light showers didn't deter our dedicated team of volunteers who once again showed how wonderful they are, giving up their time to come and do their bit for our community, our beaches and our environment.
Of course, this time of year sees much of what we collect blowing in from Port Phillip - a timely reminder that what we drop in our streets ends up in our bay and then much of which ends up back on our beaches.
Cigarette butts and straws continue to be a big problem as do confectionary wrappers and the like.
