28 wonderful volunteers braved the strong chilly winds on 14th December cleaned up the bush area and foreshore of Point Ormond. 10kgs of rubbish were removed with 36 bottles and countless cigarette butts. In addition to this, a one-off corporate clean in December had removed 11.5kgs of mixed rubbish from our beautiful beach.
A quick comparison with last year's clean around the same time, same place, 22 volunteers collected 25 kgs of rubbish with 38 bottles that could have been recycled and many cigarette butts.
Thank you to all of our volunteers through 2019, with your help we will have a cleaner beach in 2020!
