This weekend Elwood beach had its first spring clean. The sun came out for us and as a result, we saw a strong rise in volunteer numbers compared to last month. It was great to welcome a couple of first timers too. Together we worked hard to collect items big and small, including a tarp, some bulky items by the rocks and the usual menacing plastic fragments and cigarette butts. The beach looked visibly cleaner at the end of the hour and it was great to gain support from passers by that morning.
Well done Elwood crew!
See you next time on Saturday 18 October.
