We had 13 people join us for our Seventh clean with even more fresh faces. It was a cool day but that didn't stop us from working hard although we felt as though there wasn't as much rubbish as there usually is. Hopefully that's a good sign :) We recently received a very generous donation of 20 pairs of gloves, 20 buckets and 20 pick up sticks from Bunnings in Rosebud and we'd really like to thank them for their support. In this case we chose to use the buckets rather than the bags to prolong their life and we managed to pick up 15 buckets worth of rubbish so roughly 60kgs!!

For this clean, we unfortunately found more general waste than we did recyclables. In total we had 38 recyclable containers and around 250 pieces of other plastics. We also found some odd items such as a cement mixing pole, dog toys and a dive mask. It was disappointing to find a balloon that was full of confetti inside which was unknowingly popped by one of our members but overall it was a great day.

We look forward to the next clean :)
