Another big day for Altona Beach Patrol and our first clean up event for 2017!
Thanks to everyone who came and gave up their time on Australia Day today.
We were also given a great opportunity to spread the word and raise the profile of what we do and why.
And we highlighted the fact that in one hour we collected over 48kg of rubbish from our beach and foreshore.
We welcomed some new members and had 29 awesome people help pick up rubbish.
The most common item was cigarette butts, with over 2000 picked up...
