St Patrick's Day and great weather brought our biggest crowd of volunteers (36) in a very long while!
We collected cigarette butts separately in cut-down drink containers for the first time.
At the end of the beach clean, we had removed half a bucket of butts - weighing 1.3kg!
We found a complete outfit for a beachgoer - undies, shorts, socks, goggles and a green ("Bag for Good") bag to carry it all.
The Aspendale Crew also re-directed another 21 bottles or cans onto the recycling bin.
