A super job by everyone who helped clean up the beach and foreshore around the Beaumaris life savers club at Ricketts Point! There were 20 volunteers on the day and overall 18 full bags of litter were collected.
The estimated weight of the litter removed was 45 kg. Most common items were; micro-plastics, cigarette butts and cans & bottles.
Recyclables; 28 glass bottles, 7 plastic bottles and 24 cans. Other items collected; straws (50), nurdles and fishing line. Most bottles and cans were found near the buildings and vegetation.
