29 volunteers attended the clean up on the beach near the Beachside cafe at Ricketts Point - thanks everyone for all your efforts especially through the rain near the end of the clean-up!
In total we collected 12 bags of litter estimated at 30 kg in weight. Most common items were; micro-plastics, plastic chip & confectionery wrappers, polystyrene and cigarette butts (roughly 320). In total, so far this year we have removed over 330 kg of litter (equivalent to the weight of an adult manatee)!
Recyclables; 5 glass bottles, 6 plastic bottles and 7 cans. Other items collected; plastic containers, straws, nurdles, plastic bottle caps.
