Fabulous volunteers and Champion Children
Great effort from our eight volunteers today. Gorgeous day to be out with like-minded people caring for our local environment.
Things always seem clean around Elwood - and then you really look! We made a great difference today - hundreds of small pieces. These are such a danger to sea creatures and birds as they can be swallowed and lead to painful deaths.
We collected: 9.1 kg of litter, 504 cigarette butts, 37 drink containers (bottles & cans) and still some of the plastic confetti from the disastrous scattering at a wedding last September. Hope you like the message from Eloise and Clare.
Save the date: Sat 3 March - Tennyson St Shops. Hope you can all attend as City of Port Phillip are likely to be filming us to promote volunteering in the municipality.
